Simmered Chenpi Water
Use 3–5 g of chenpi with 500 ml cold water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 5–10 minutes. You can briefly soak and discard the first infusion to reduce bitterness.
Chenpi with Honey
Slice chenpi and steep in hot water for 10 minutes. When the temperature drops below about 60°C, add honey for a softer taste.
Chenpi Pear Soup
Simmer 5 g of chenpi with one cored pear for about 30 minutes to create a lightly sweet drink.

Chenpi Ginger Drink
Simmer chenpi with ginger slices for a spicier, more robust flavor.
Chenpi Pu'er Tea
Rinse 2 g chenpi and 7 g ripe pu'er with hot water for 15 seconds, discard the first infusion, then steep for about 2 minutes for a richer cup.
