Southern Regions
- Focus on moisture control: use well-sealed containers and dehumidifying measures during humid seasons;
- Moderate ventilation: in hot, humid summers, briefly open containers to avoid stuffiness;
- Sun-drying when appropriate: in drier autumn weather, choose clear days to air and sun the peel;
- Winter checks: watch for dampness and pests, and air out when needed.
Northern Regions
- Prevent over-drying: avoid excessive moisture loss that can cause cracking;
- Watch for dampness swings: monitor humidity shifts in spring or during temperature changes;
- Avoid high heat: keep good ventilation in summer and avoid hot spots;
- Keep away from heaters in winter to prevent overdrying.
General Principles
