Dried tangerine peel can be brewed as a drink and also made into snacks. Below are two common methods with step-by-step notes.
Method 1: Simple Candied Peel
- Wash the peel and boil in hot water for about 20 minutes to reduce bitterness.
- Slice thinly, then boil again with salt for about 20 minutes.
- Drain, coat with sugar, and air-dry before eating.

Method 2: Seasoned Soak with Syrup
- Prepare the peel: soak dried peel until softened, changing water to remove bitterness.
- Boil briefly: cook 4–5 minutes, remove, then soak again to reduce bitterness.
- Dry: dry to a half-dry state for later use.
- Make the syrup: prepare licorice liquid and add salt, sweetener, citric acid, vanillin, and potassium sorbate. Heat until dissolved and bring to a boil.
- Soak and dry: add the half-dried peel to the hot syrup, mix gently, rest to absorb, then dry again as needed until the syrup is fully absorbed and the texture is ready to eat.

Serving Notes
Enjoy in moderation. Store in a dry, sealed container to avoid moisture and spoilage.
